When you have a poor credit, repairing it should not cause more damage. In the credit card market today, there are many credit cards that can help you repair poor credit. These cards are known as ‘bad credit’ credit cards.
When getting a typical ‘bad credit’ credit card, you must shop around to avoid pitfalls, after all, your main goal is to make repair.
First of all, obtain your credit report. This way, you will know how much damage is done, and how much of your credit history will need repairing. If there is anything on your credit report that you have no idea of its source, be sure to reconcile that as well. If you have numerous credit card debts, you should learn to consolidate and smartly transfer balances from a credit card of lower interest to another.
Of course, there are other ways of repairing poor credit; it either includes hiring a credit investigatory agency, or waiting seven years to start over on a clean slate. Another fool proof method is getting a ‘bad credit’ credit card.
Normally, companies issuing a fix-it credit card or a ‘bad credit’ credit card will give you a very low amount to start off with. Normally around $300; for these types of credit cards, there are high interest rates, annoying finance charges, and high annual fees. Also, assuming you just got the card, you will end up paying up to $250 during its activation.
Depending on how poor your credit history is, there are debt consolidations; or you could learn to discipline yourself and pay off more than the minimum balance on your cards without adding more finances.
