INVITATION NUMBER FOR CREDIT CARD OFFER
The Purpose Of Invitation Numbers Whether it is called Invitation Number, Invite Number, Acceptance Code, Reservation Number, Access Code, Personal Secure Code, Acceptance Certificate Number, or whatever else of that type – the sole purpose of these codes is to separate pre-approved crowd of potential clients from other people that were not considered by the banks for the offer. (Let us clear this out from the very beginning: People who did not receive an invitation for a particular offer do not necessarily have a bad credit history and would not qualify for the promoted credit card. It might simply happen that the pre-selected offers were limited to some regions, age group, etc.) Banks purchase information about people’s credit worthiness from the credit bureaus according to their specifications. It helps to reduce the operation cost of the banks by excluding applications from people with apparently bad credit. Therefore it cuts down the processing expenses associated with clearly hopeless applications.
Does Invitation Code Mean That I Will Be Approved? Not necessarily. Anyone who will not comply with the requirement of the offer may be rejected after filling out the pre-approved application. As soon as the bank receives complete information about you, it will request a full report of your credit history and will compare it to the requirements set by the offer. The information provided by the credit bureaus is very vague and inexact, therefore pre-selection of potential applicants is not a very precise process itself. The best advice would be to know your credit standing and reading details of the offers before you apply.
Can I Apply For Some Of The Offers If I Do Not Have An Invitation Number?
Yes. Many banks will have promotions that are run simultaneously for the same credit cards. Some of them will require an invitation number or code, some will let you access the application without it. All the credit card offers presented at this website do not require invitation numbers. To see if you can apply for a card without an invitation code search the menu to the left and pick the issuer of your interest to see the current offers. You can also scroll down to see some of the top mail offers that can be applied for without invitation #'s.
